The 'Creative Metta' project connects multiple local services, partnerships throughout Chichester, West Sussex, UK.

Social prescribing referrals, mental health dialogue and wellbeing will be the catalyst for our transformative painting workshops which will start in 14th July 2021. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions there are limited places.

This project is funded by the Arts Council England and the Chichester District Council. The 'Creative Metta' project is the vision of myself Joanne Webb and Gilli Higgs. We are both full time working fine artists. We want to connect local social subscribing services and a women's centre and support those affected by trauma, depression, poverty, mental health, LGBT community and more. 

We aim to build resilience through creative arts dialogue and support personal transformation through painting.This is currently a 12 week short term project with the aim of making it long term depending on current  restrictions.

The 'Creative Metta' project is a creative approach to address social issues which build engagement offer artistic excellence, long-term social impact, and people at the centre of the creative process.
